June 08, 2020: Dr. Dore wants to let you know that she has dedicated her life to healing and educating others. She is devastated by the events of the past few weeks: the senseless killing of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor and many others; as well as the looting and vandalism that threatens to drown out the very real concerns of peaceful protestors outraged by overt acts of racism. Unfortunately, the inequalities that people of color have faced in this country have been present for many decades. Dr. Dore believes that most people are kind and respectful of others, as shown by the outpouring of support for the first line responders of all races with the Covid-19 pandemic sweeping through our country. The many neighbors who have volunteered to clean up after the acts of vandalism. She wants you to know that she will do everything in her power to fight for equality for all, not only in the workplace but in the world at large. As you may know, Dr. Dore is actively involved with the Arthritis Foundation, United Rheumatology, the Association of Women in Rheumatology, and other National organizations that have all issued statements condemning racism and the vandalism that occurred. Please let her know if you have any suggestions how Dr. Dore and her staff can help you as individuals and help our communities moving forward. Her commitment to her patients and community is ongoing.
